Banana Icecream

For anyone who still hasn’t tried this incredibly simple, healthy treat - a perfect substitute for people who are, like me, intolerant to milk, or are simply trying to stay healthy. Even though it only contains fruit, surprisingly its texture is more like ice cream than sorbet.

Ingredients

Bananas

Vanilla Pod

Immersion Blender

Peel two (over)ripe banana’s per person and slice it into slices of roughly 2 cm. Place into a ziplock bag and freeze.

When making the ice cream, remove the bags of banana slices from the freezer and let them thaw just enough to be able to blend them using an immersion blender. Add in the scrapes of the vanilla pod and blend until an ice cream-like consistency is reached.

Serve immediately, as it melts rather quickly.
