Almond Milk

Since my stomach doesn’t like hot chocolate as much as my tongue does - Here’s a wonderfully comforting alternative!

Drinking it feels like a warm hug.

Ingredients

150g raw Almonds

2tsp Vanilla Essence

750ml Water

Raw Cane Sugar (or other sweetener of choice)

Blender, Cheesecloth

On the night before, soak the almonds in water to activate them and make them easier to digest.

Peel the almonds (if the skins don’t come off easily douse them in hot water and they should come right off). Put them into a blender with the water and blend until the almonds have completely turned into pulp. Then strain through a cheesecloth, pressing all the liquid out of the pulp. Pour into a bottle or jar with the vanilla essence and keep in the fridge. It will keep for about three days (shake before use).

When serving pour about a third to half a cup of the almond milk into a cup and fill it with boiling water. Add sweetener to taste and enjoy!
