Elderflower Gin and Tonic

Another Elderflower twist - this time we’re twisting the good old Gin and Tonic!

Ingredients

1 part Gin
2 parts Tonic Water
1/2 part Elderflower Cordial

Ice

Cucumber slice or Lime wedges for garnish

Tumbler Glasses

Nowadays these gets served more in Copa glasses (the sort of overblown wine glasses), but I don’t think anyone should drink from those so I’m being stubborn and am using nice old fashioned tumblers.

So fill the tumbler up with ice and wait a moment until the glass is chilled. Pour out any water that has formed.

Pour the Gin (here I used Hendricks), Tonic water (I like to use Royal Club which is milder and less sweet than Fever Tree with cucumber slices to create a smooth drink, or - if you prefer a little sweeter punchy fruitiness- use Fever Tree tonic water with lime wedges) and Elderflower Cordial over the ice and stir.

Garnish with a couple of slices of cucumber.
