Welcome to my kitchen! I am by no means a professional chef, but I love eating good food and I love to cook for the people that I love.

Food is one of those things that, when it’s good, it can lift everybody’s spirit. It is such a simple and relatively small thing to get right, yet so powerful.

I grew up in a household of mixed cultures, which meant I got used to many kinds of different flavours in times when they weren’t always so easily accessible, and at an age where most of my friends didn’t want to eat anything that looked the slightest bit exotic. One day in my early teens, I decided that I wanted to be someone who was a good cook. Someone whose food people would be excited to share in. So thats where I started my journey into the small magic that happens in the kitchen.

Everyone has a different relationship to food, and I invite you to think about yours.

For my health, I have tried almost all diets and fads under the sun. This way, over time, I have learned what works for my body and what doesn’t. Just because some food is ‘healthy’ or some diet ‘really works’ for someone, doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily good for you. So try things out, do your research, experiment and see for yourself what way of eating makes you feel most energetic and happy. And then don’t forget to live a little, for it’s easy for your mind to start thinking in the black and white good/bad way and get consumed by these things.
